When a Single Part Can Make all the Difference
We recently supplied Aston Martin Racing with a 3 metre length of bright polished stainless steel tube. Part of British Racing Heritage
Aston Martin Racing provided the means by which British motor racing legend, Stirling Moss, became arguably Britain’s greatest Grand Prix and racing car driver in 1959, when he drove an Aston Martin DBR1 as part of a three-car works team entry at Le Mans.
Moss functioned as hare to the Ferraris’ greyhounds (which subsequently expired – along with Moss’ engine) His amazing efforts left the field wide open for his teammates to claim a momentous first and second place in Aston Martin Racing’s finest hour.
Present Day
These days Aston Martin are still at the forefront of motor racing technology, with 8 overall pole positions, 3 race wins, 8 podiums and 4 fastest laps at the Le Mans 24 Hour, the World Endurance Championship and the Sebring 12 Hour races in 2013, with the Vantage GTE.
